CTW Origins: 
 

1897 – Founded in Kansas City as the “Only Way Transfer & Warehouse Company” featuring a horse, a wagon, and a small brick warehouse.
 

1948 – Kansas City businessman Robert Winsky founded Consolidated Transfer & Warehouse Co., later shortened to simply “CTW”.
 

1959 – Winksy acquired the Only Way Transfer & Warehousing Company and later merged it with CTW.
 

1965 – Winsky acquired land from Burlington Northern Railroad and built a 150,000-square-foot warehouse on Taney Street in North Kansas City, Missouri. This facility serves as CTW’s national headquarters to this day.
 

2015 – Winsky passes, and his obituary notes that “he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and CTW family who will carry his legacy far into the future.”
 

2021 – A new ownership group acquires CTW and invests in new people, technology, and resources to build on Bob Winsky’s legacy.
